Poetry Recital-Reflection

     During today’s presentation, I could feel that everyone was nervous. Some people were able to hide their fears, but some were unable to overcome them. I soon regretted for today’s presentation right after I finished it because I was mad at myself that I forgot a sentence during the presentation. Although I could memorize the whole poem before presenting, I felt nervous when I heard that I was the first one to go. I noticed that many people’s hands and voices, including mines, were shaking when they stood in front of the classroom. I also saw that only few people did eye-contact. I didn’t do that too. Actually, I still remembered that I should stand straight and slow down the reading speed, but I totally forgot these reminders when I stood in the front. I found that people, who look directly to the front and stand straight, did well on their presentations.
